A beautiful collaboration for this sonnet
thank you Brian
slipped between darkness and time
we escape jagged lives in distant arms
our distance should not make this a crime
as deep inside we find warmth in lover's charms
marking moments with gentle whispered songs
dancing trace less in wondered sheltered bliss
I can stare upon your eyes ever long
showering your lips with a physical yet emotional kiss
and though held in raptured embrace
these thousand miles we are not apart
for in this caress they cannot trace
the miles, the distance, between one heart
and never touching, our intimacy wed
and ever longing for what lies ahead
