I received this in an email and wanted to share it here. These are not my words but I agree with them. I do love my country and am priviledged and blessed to live here.

I Love My Country

Copied from email:

In case you find yourself starting to believe all the
anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should
remember England's Prime Minister
Tony Blair's words during a recent interview.
When asked by one of his Parliament members
why he believes so much in America.

"A simple way to take measure of a country
is to look at how many
want in ...
And how many want out.
Only two defining forces have ever
offered to die for you:

1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom."

Thank you Kathy! I am sick to the point of throwing up of all the anti American crap that is spouted. Its bull shit! America is Good. If we pulled all our money from all the places we're helping we would be condemed to hell. We send billions and billions every year to help all over the world and still we're condemned. For What?? I am proud to be American. I hope everyone is proud of their country. There is nothing wrong with patriotism. Everyone should think of their country as the best place to be. If you are not proud of your country, maybe you can help change it for the better. Or, come to America. But come to be an American, be one of us. We all come from different backgrounds but our shared values make us all Americans. It's not our differences, but what we share in common that makes us strong. Kathy, our Scottish, German and American Indian ancestors shared common goals and values and from those diverse backgrounds, came our mother's and our father's families. All Americans. So thank you Kathy. Thank Tony Blair (a very good man) and God Bless America! And for all of those readers all over the world, may God Bless your country too!!

Stand true and stand proud, we are not made to be perfect, but we give all to defend those who cannot defend theirselves, we will not have all the right answers, but remember we are the "catch 22" country, we are wrong if we do not act or help, and we are wrong when we do act or help, you cannot ask for help and then curse the one who helps you. For example, when a country is in trouble, who do they call and it is not the UN. Great job, Kathy!!!

I still want in....
just wish someone would close the doors once in awhile
and just stay home alone.

I am sure that many Americans are good, sincere and that they hold in high esteem the ideals of peace, freedom and human dignity on which their country is so proud of being founded. Well, in my humble opinion these good Americans, instead of indulging in patriotic clichés, ought to be very angry at, and concerned about, the way in which their country has been acting on the international scene.
