inspired by Dino's "The Society of Ethereal Poets."
dedicated to all who march to their own beat on this Bay of Poets.
are your words awake?
I read you in my dreams
listened as your fingers
tapped upon the door
of my mind
awakening images,
creating moods,
playing music
that carries me like
a cloud drifting,
swimming in mirror pools
of reflection and eternity.
I consume your words like
the sweet cream in my coffee
as I break fast after a long night
of silent movies flickering
across the imprint of your
footsteps.
Your silent din amasses
the sound of a thousand
voices rising up beyond
the earth's surface into
the infinity of imagination.
I hunger each day for
the food of the gods.
