Kitchen Frenzy
The rest of dinner sat looking miffed at the table
Where was the feast they'd been promised?
The ham looked hungrily at the croissant-
Just a bite? Soon they were wrapped
Around each other like pigs in a blanket
How dare you! The rest of the food
looked appalled but cream cheese was sneaking
Glances at mashed potatoes, sizing him up
Without warning he dived, losing himself
in the creamy goodness. At this,
Roast beef summoned the gravy
And the bread-
We shall have Beef Manhattan!
There was an outcry from the turnips
But the pudding was not listening
It poured itself over the graham crackers
In greedy lust
While the macaroni and cheese
Just wanted macaroni and cheese-
Mastication
Barbaric delight
