A Poem About A Pickle
Dear Kathy,
As if promised you here is my "Pickle Poem".
This poem was written on a challange by a person I work with at AAA.
She had read other poems I had written and even published the one about
the "Lonely Shoe" in our company news letter. I ask her to give me a
subject to write about and she said, "how about a pickle, and you can't
use the word, tickle. So the next day I presented the folowing poem.
A POEM ABOUT A PICKLE
Hey dickle,dickle
I'm in a pickle
and I don't know what to do
In a prideful fashion
I promised a creation
And now I must come through.
What was I thinking
I had not been drinking
I must have been out of my mind
A poem about a pickle
without the word "tickle"
How do I get out of this bind?
So here I go
I'll use what I know
About this wounderful treat.
If you gobble it down
It will make you frown
and tingle from your head to your feet.
So take time to savor
a plethora of flavor
that comes from the cucumber vine.
Then I can save face
and escape from this place
and finish this gosh awful rhyme.
