My granddaughter is sleeping in my bed as I write this. We had a wonderful afternoon and evening together. We went to the movies, ate popcorn, went shopping, ate pizza, read books and now she sleeps and I write of her, My Juicy Peach.

Princess Of My Heart

Little girl,
I love...
reading you princess stories,
watching you study each picture
tracing the lines of Cinderalla's gown,
frowning at the evil stepmother,
counting the dwarfs,
exclaiming,
"so that's why they call them
the seven dwarfs."
You delight me!
I watched you try on those new boots,
those with the sparkling buckles.
You tapped the heels on the floor,
twirled around in your new dress.
Magic! Enchantment!
Princess of my heart!
"Nana, I want your ring" you tell me
with a plea in your voice.
I say when you are grown
"I am six and a half," you answer while
moving your front tooth back and forth
with your tongue.
I love you Madison Ann-Marie.
My sweet adorable Juicy Peach,
you may have all that I have and my
heart too for you already
own me.
