“ An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered.
An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered”—G K Chesterton

Bus 500F and I in slumber deep.
Suddenly I was jerked out of dreamland,
With horror, I saw I was way past my homeland.
Lost, I was in a strange place,
Night’s darkness was the danger I did face.
I stumble towards the only light,
Found myself in front of ‘Bakery Bright’.
Stomach rumbled, food I needed,
“One packet of biscuits”, I pleaded.
In solitary silence I munched on chocolate cream.
It tasted like something out of a dream.
The best choco biscuits I’ve ever tasted,
Smile on my face and my stomach sated.
Asked for directions to get myself home,
I think I’ve had enough of a roam.
My inconvenience was now an adventure,
Without an encounter with a fearsome night creature.
Reached home safe-a little late,
Mom whined about the long wait.
When I explained,
She no more complained.
That night of my inconvenience I dreamed,
Now more of an adventure it seemed.
