This little snippet is a result of the couplet in my first versions of Sonnet 5 (The Second Deluge). It will most likely be worked into a poem worthy in itself.

The Virtues of Tea

It's time to let the civil man emerge;
We need an avatar to kindly shew
That tea can be the humanizing scourge,
Indeed, a Flood of gentlemanly brew
Is just the thing we need to truly purge
This world; mayhap to even start anew!

I'm partial to a nice cup of tea
with honey quite often.

A warming write, it flows
over the reader like tea flows
warm down the throat.

Bookmarked.
