A merry christmas

She sits on the side of the bath tub,
Her body naked.
The water gushing from the taps,
Steaming rising in the room.

Her head is lowered,
her hands clasped.
Her body gently shaking,
A tear falls.

Lost,
Alone,
Hurting,
Longing.

The sparkle gone,
The merry so dim.
The joy diminished,
The thought of christmas is hollow.

Peaceful happy times,
Past.
Constant tension and argueing,
Now.

Goodbye to her mother,
Goodbye to merry christmas.
Hello to her father and step-mum,
Hello to hellish christmas.

The tears fall,
She wishes to have her mother.
To have better times,
A merry christmas.
