Time, You Are A Dichotomy
Time you are a dichotomyA forked branch of the same tree
You are a friend that hurts
A foe that heals
You are welcomed and dreaded
You heal the things you hurt
You hurt the things you heal
You hurt like the needle
That delivers the serum of healing
You hurt as you pass with a loved one missing
By passing you heal the hurt of missing that loved one
We need you, time to be alone with our pain
We are lonely in our pain when we've had our fill of you
You pass too quickly when all is well
You pass too slowly when we suffer
Yet your passing is often the remedy to our suffering
We beg for more of you and we pray for your end
Time you are a dichotomy
