keeping close

we turned a million corners
in a land of mirrors
each one reflecting a lie called truth

flowers scent in a summer evening
called for attention
and music from a tiered saxophone
set the pace

your fingers soft touch
a drug for my hungry heart
letting loose entagled hurt

the sky crimson
our footsteps a shadowed grey
love a feeling

as we tread sofly through reality
keeping close to our dreams
