My Intelligent, Handsome Son
I really can see the best of me in you,
My heart swells with pride and my eyes tears of joy,
As I look at you, my intelligent, handsome boy.
How fast time goes by,
In a blink of an eye.
Where had the time gone?
And how much you've grown.
I painfully admit,
I feel sad with regret,
For just noticing it.
I guess you're not so little anymore.
Had it really been that long?
As reality hits, my regret start to rise,
I suddenly start to realize,
Just how much I've lost,
And what it has cost.
As I look at my son and all he's become;
My intelligent, handsome son.
What's done is done,
I can't change the past,
I wish I could some how get it all back.
All I can do is hope and prey,
That you will forgive me someday.
Always remember that I'm proud of you son,
And of the young man that you've become.
All my enduring love for you....My intelligent, handsome son.
Love, MOM
