...The Scent of You...
Do you know what I miss My Dear
When you're away and I'm so blue?
Like the dew upon the flower
I miss the scent of you,
I can't fight it anymore
And I won't even try,
I am compelled to tell the truth to you
And I refuse to lie,
I love to have your picture here
To look at, as your poetry, I write,
Love to see your eyes and lips
That sparkle—diamonds in the night,
And I long so to have you in my arms
And to kiss and hold you too,
But Oh, with all your many other charms
I miss the scent of you,
The scent of you is stirring to me
Like the wind upon the Sea,
Your Lavender and sexiness
Fills the very air I breathe,
It stirs and churns within me
Creating walls of passion waves,
The scent of you fills me with Hope and Love
And reminds me of the day,
The day that I will marry you
And take you completely as my wife,
It inflames my passion for you
And kills depression like a knife,
Your scent is a match aflame
That kindles my heart and soul and mind,
And I thank God for our new life together
And that I am yours and you are mine,
How can I not Love you
God's precious gift to me,
And how can I not want you
When the nearness of you stirs me like the Sea,
You alone, Honey, bring forth my love
With all you say and do,
And I am driven to the point of madness
By just the 'Scent of You'...
