That moment you realise your no more

One Last Moment

I wake but nothing is real,
I touch but don't feel,
Shout aloud but nobody hears,
No response to my growing fears,
Looking for my love, but i can't see,
Her flowing red hair, my girl, Hayley.

Run through the house with great urgency,
Even though I have no key,
At last, she's sitting all alone,
Looking, staring at the phone,
She's waiting for news, waiting to hear,
And as she waits she sheds a tear.

I think to myself, what's going on,
And why does this all feel so wrong,
I call to her, Hayley, hear me please,
But she doesn't, just falls to her knees,
Holding a photo of us, she mournfully cries,
As I realise, I've passed on and everything dies.
