Is it Spring yet?

Dismal

january gray
winter's dull display
rain, sleet, snow
a frozen soul
where's the day?
washed away
night reigns
nothing gained
icy stare
chilling glare
inside this room
hoping soon
for spring.

In the midst of all that winter can symbolize, particularly death, we desparately look for life. That's why spring is so revered. It means hope comes on the scene at the very last moment, in the worst of circumstances when things can't get uglier and more hopeless. Great poem.

O!Yes!I feel the same!!! What a great melancholic poem with a touch of nostalgia for the morning sun that will shine bright on the blue sky while the rays of light will playfully touch and send warmth to my body so I can wake up and go to the forest where I will hear the birds singing and smell the fragrance of the newly bloomed flowers!Lovely just lovely!Patience my friend it's just few months left :)
