I've heard so many times that this is my best poem ever. It's my favorite by far, and the last stanza is my favorite out of anything I've ever written.
And fall into that sweet abyss.
Forget about my troubles,
And feel that utter bliss.
Oh how good it must surely feel,
To be free from worry or care.
To revel in that freedom,
With a lesser pain to bear.
It almost hurts to have to live
With this constant strain.
I'm just looking for a release,
To somehow stop the pain.
Everything I end up trying
Always seems to fail.
For once I want to find a way
To leave without a trail.
I'm looking for a chasm
Though I always need it deeper.
None are ever deep enough
To be my tension's reaper.

Abyss
Sometimes I just want to let go,And fall into that sweet abyss.
Forget about my troubles,
And feel that utter bliss.
Oh how good it must surely feel,
To be free from worry or care.
To revel in that freedom,
With a lesser pain to bear.
It almost hurts to have to live
With this constant strain.
I'm just looking for a release,
To somehow stop the pain.
Everything I end up trying
Always seems to fail.
For once I want to find a way
To leave without a trail.
I'm looking for a chasm
Though I always need it deeper.
None are ever deep enough
To be my tension's reaper.
