The Definition Of War

War
People fighting
Dying for a reason they can never know
Young men hate and kill
Falling in pools of blood
Never to see their unborn children
Losing the love they left at home
They have no choice
Old men order them to take lives
Kill people they have never met
And do not remember them
There is no reason
Men die
Women die
Children die
Death comes from miles away
And from miles above
Planes with men
Computers choose the targets
In less than a minute
A million pounds of death fall from the sky
Destroying buildings
The men in the planes do not see the people below
They are too small
Too insignificant to matter
Men Die
Women Die
Children die
They cannot hear them cry for their lost ones
They cannot see the baby clinging to her dying mother
Asking for one more drink of milk
They would not care
War is nothing but destruction
But the opposite of war is not peace
It is acceptance
It is respect for life
The opposite of war is creation

*applause*Well written my friend!A great message you convey here! And for the men in power. . .for them, humans are like utilities that can be used in their advantage or come their way and need to be disposed... The intoxication of power has twisted their perception of reality. Wrong is right and right is wrong. . .It's like when a satanist change his God, that doesn't mean that he doesn't have a God. Satan is God for him and God becomes Satan for example. . .
A thought provoking text Rob :) Thank you :)*applause*
