Beloved Daughter Of Mine

My dear child,
So pure and full of life
But yet so young
You lay here in my arms,
Safe and warm

I will never, ever, leave your side
But how will I know,
If you will stay by mine?

It seems like you have been here
Throughout my entire life
I can not imaging tomorrow,
Or the next day after
The future bring me sorrow

In this warm summer-night,
You stay here in my arms so tight
But you will be gone with tomorrows light

You are a woman now
I do not understand how,
The time could go by so fast
I must be stuck in the past

I do pray,
That here you will stay,
By my side
My beloved daughter of mine

Oh Mother earth,
Give me the strength to say goodbye
A tear from my eye,
And I whisper in your ear,
That I hold you so dear

Tomorrow is now here,
You wake up with a smile on your lips,
And I play with your golden hair,
With my pale fingertips

Goodbye is the saddest word to hear
Will this be the last time I will hold you near?

You are about to leave me now,
To a warrior become,
Just like I once were

You lean over,
And kiss me on my cheek
Goodbye my mother,
You whisper in my ear

A sad and sweet poem that pulls at the heart. I feel the last kiss.
