this is my first Villanelle and I would have never attempted to write one on my own. Thank you Michael for your gentle guidance and help in writing this. As always, it is has been my pleasure to write with you my dear friend.

Simply You (co write with Michael Meddings)

So beautiful the soft chime of your voice
And thrilling this love that gave me no choice
As willingly I become your prisoner

For once I was lonely and a silent soul
A vagabond until your song made me whole
So beautiful the soft chime of your voice

Then in burgeonong desire I became you
Awesome love of everything you do
As willingly I become your prisoner

Come take me now for I am yours
A captive bird on distant shores
So beautiful the soft chime of your voice

On loves eternal wings I fly to you
Enchanted by the things you do
As willingly I become your prisoner

Bound together is where we belong
As in harmony we sing love's song
So beautiful the soft chime of your voice
As willingly I become your prisoner

A gilded prison indeed Kathy and Mike. Glorious is it's quiet acceptance. Smiling at you both, Tai

A beautiful and soft statement of the warmth and boundless sensation love creates in two people .... it is a poem I read quietly not to disturb the words I hear ,,, beautiful, beautiful ...
