Don't you just hate it when someone is messing with your head? This one is really short by my standards...

Heart vs Head

It's times like these I wonder
What you're really thinking.
you contradict yourself so much
That I feel my knowledge breaking.

I used to think I understood
But I don't have a clue.
You say one thing but mean another,
And I don't know what's true.

For once tell me what's in your heart,
And not what's in your head.
Sometimes you just have to spill,
For some things can't be read.

Yes, it is a very annoying thing, but people often do not speak their mind and really do not mean half of what they say... Mind and heart are often at variance with each other; there is always a war on between them. Reminds me of my own poem: 'Mind and Heart'!
(((Hugs for the words of wisdom!)))

Straight talk is a thing of my past for sure. it is a bad habit of the 21st century that needs sorting if we are ever to understand each other imo. Nice work young lady, and I agree with Linda, you do have a mature mind for one so young.

Smiling at you,

Tai

Was glad to find a new poem here by you, for you do have a thing or two to say.
Keep these poems coming straight from the heart - not the head!
