a part of
will you look in on me at mid day
eyes telling me of curious wonder
we can lay still on the bed
listening to the city huzzling
and if you let me
unlock the door you bolted
hard and firm
keeping hurt away
hey we can visit a few
backyard memories
giggling like teenagers do
not recogniseing years of fear
letting time
pass into the circle of eternity
as the life of our city
lives through its motions
close to us breathing
a part
of my mid day dreams
