Two lonely hearts daydream (scene two musical)
(Drinks tea)
I wonder if you are a poet because if you are. . .I was going to take you to a place, where the ladies would look at your soul with sheer amazement. . .
In that dreamy fairyland you would be surrounded by the 9 muses and the 3 graces. Mesmerized they would drink the elixir of life, your thoughts.
And as you would observe them, their nakedness would inspire you. . .
(Lays on the bed and looks at the ceiling)
Had I the linen sheets,
to lie upon and rest, to sleep
I would dream of these things
brought to me, by love.
To restore my soul
to its fullest peak
awaiting for you to take your fill,
I lay, tense and warm, needing your arms
come to me.
(Lays on the couch and looks at her bedroom )
If you could feel me now, I would quickly hide under the satin sheets
and dream about things that I could do or make by love
(hugs the pillow)
Under the covers I would dream that I hold you in my arms That one kiss would be the key to infinite sleep and lucid Each dream has a story to tell the one of a dreamy love would be fulfilled. In the garden of immortal kisses we would share the eternal bliss of our immortal kisses. . .
(Looks outside the window)
Oh. . . If I could see your face reflecting on the moon. . . I would do anything to find you and fly with you there- amongst the stars, we would take our fill of love!
(places his hand underneath the pillow and the blanket between his legs)
The other part of a soul that healed it's wounds, it's still a dream. . .
(he stands up and walk to his desk and pens a poem)
Upon a black moon night
the earth stirred itself into remembrance.
There were whispers from trees,
there were séances
in closed-up houses,
there were glasses
gliding over Ouija boards.
The breath of trees sung in harmony
to their lost leaves,
scattered at their ankles.
Deeply naked souls speak to me of wisdom
This heavenly clean-skinned body
sat in the hands of a man,
resting the heart of his lover.
Upon a whisper
speak of that black moon,
of a clouded restlessness
that filled the room.
She resisted the impulse to move away.
(Looking at the moon)
And there, amongst the stars our holy union would be the end of our loneliness and the beginning of a new life. . . We would live as one. . . And outside the temple of your soul, purple doves would fly. . .
(Stands up and leans his head on the wall )
If I could find you I would hold you in my hands and scream with laughter
- Aye! Feast! Rejoice! There is no dread hereafter.
(They both turn on the radio)
"I see skies are blue rainbows are. . . "
