It's hard not to lose oneself in the mirror.

Mimic World

Tangable reflections hold blank emotions
They rest in the mirror as a muse for you
Echoing actions and mocking all your notions
Pulling you from your resistant daydream

Colorful sillouettes, they are in your eyes
They shine like you, but reflect none and
Talk as you talk, but no sounds fill their sighs
They're garbo mimes without the get-up

Join them in the mimic world
Through the looking glass
And beyond the reflecting material world

chasingtheday The PoetBay support member heart!
arr the mirror - the self shadow mocking us. a really nice piece, when we see ourselves i wonder if that is how others see us as the masks crack.

Lovely.
Yes indeed.
So deep in thought you are for the age 15.
I myself started off as a solo pianist at the age of 9
I then begun to write to myself.
I would rate that poem as a master piece.
Given any age.

Hi Kerra.

This is a wonderful poem, my favorite out of the three you posted.

It has a nice cadence to it. I can see it becoming a song.
