How Do You Say Farewell To Life?

There was a life within her own,
a seed that had begun to grow.
But she lost it just like that,
she bled and went hollow.

There are a lot of things that are hard to mend.
Yet you will find beauty within this strife.
How come such a precious thing must end?
How do you say farewell to life?

Fifty years and then some,
they lived together side by side.
He left this world and her behind.
She mourned his soul and cried.

The bathtub is filled with water and blood.
He had had enough of demons screaming.
So he sliced his wrists open wide,
cause he couldn't find the meaning.

There are a lot of things that are hard to mend.
Yet you will find beauty within this strife.
How come such a precious thing must end?
How do you say farewell to life?

That should be bled in the !st verse DB. You give three examples of loss very vividly in your poem. Big title big question. My answer is, you don't, life says farewell to you, firstly the heart goes, then the soul follows. I don't believe in death as an ending, but more of a new beginning, with the spirit moving up and on, with luck! But that is me and a rare way of thinking for most. I would hate to be tested on it again though, so death still holds some fear for me too it seems. A very thought provoking poem, thanks for sharing. The trick is for us as individuals, in trying not to let life say farewell. Smiling at you, Tai
