Falling Away

do you remember how high
the sky was on that day
you were so light I could fly
for the night was a field ablaze
with garlanded heralds
kingdoms of candle lit mirrors
seemed to reflect their beauties
within the lenses of your eyes,
were every fragrant dreaming sigh
every moment ephemeral caught
in nets of star weave torn upon
the pearl horn of a new Moon's bridal
veil waving tenderly in the sky
do you remember how high
or why we climbed the garden trellis between
the mounting ladders of sapphire the vines of green,
were as living veins of life filled with blood of light
do you recall at all how vivid bright we burned
before the night to fall before the day returned,
I know now that only once we find a place to die
within such dreams to live to climb so high
the sky was so bright upon that day
you were so light I felt that I could fly
into the night that fell away~
