Insanity's Plea

Yearning for scenes where no man has trod
Where smiles and tears have no place in time
Abide alone with the Creator, God
Flee insanity and evil's grime

Long for peace when in embryo lay
Encased in mother's walls, thoughts unborn
Where misleading dreams cannot betray
While the mind grows tawdry, life is torn

The lost battles of my own esteem
Dark's destructiveness eats at my woes
Shipwrecked I am in my field of dreams
My sinful body deals deathly blows

Wow, I love your poetry, this
one speaks to me, I have felt like this before,
my dreams lost and I just want to start new,
wanted to start my life over,
this is an excellent write:)

Individuality
a good piece, makes one stop and think with the imagery given. a sad reflection on life here.
