For My First Love (Alcohol)

evereything I adored in life is dead;
the turn-key slowly cracks open light
and the sexpots of tequila on which I fed
leaves memories of demented inspiration,
safely concealed to the demons in my head.

Union city is a great place to live and die;
we fell in love on central avenue.
on the grass in the cemetery I held you tight,
my once black soul is fading gray;
don't you know I got to kill you tonight.

awoke afraid as you snatched my dreams,
sensual smile hides listless eyes, repeating
guilt won't get you clean, guilt won't get you clean.
betrayed by a bottle, cunning currupt whore;
get behind me Bacchus, I shall be redeemed.

Lavender
The ladies' temperance society has arrived!
First, you get a hug and I shall see if I can
trade you a box of chocolates for the bottle.
Oh... you wrote this ten years ago! I am
taking my chocolates back! (giggle) A fine poem
that proves that you were a fabulous poet
ten years ago, and look at you NOW! WOW.
Surpassing and achieving, so fine, truly!
