HIDING FOR SO LONG
This life is full of questions,
and Lord I have a few.
My body's full of tensions
and of longings too.
I've been hiding for so long
that I've forgotten what it's like.
How to give, how to belong,
when you meet the kind alike.
So please have patience with me, love.
And I'll carry you through the storm.
We'll rest upon the clouds above.
I'll keep you safe and warm.
Now that I've found what I longed for,
his eyes are precious and blue,
Oh Lord won't you take us to shore,
and answer my questions, a few.
