a saga of life, love and hair, the long and the short of it
once said a prayer
to go or to stay
please show me the way
stay it would be
then she found he
and they became one
and a new life begun
the hair it got cut
the life in a rut
and older she grew
and her hair too
only this time grey
it was no longer May
twas early November
she began to remember
what they had begun
and so before the sun
sat for the last time
she wanted to climb
out of that rut
and again she cut
that old grey hair
and got some fresh air
and renewed her love
and rose above
itis and isms
sought rainbows and prisims
where light could go dancing
and she, romancing
It was he she sought
to him she brought
new love in an old heart
and never did they part
until the day
God took her away
with her hair again long
she was singing a song
of life and love
and a future above
and him on earth
and then a new birth
and the day they'd reunite
and continue into the light
and become a part
of God's own heart
to beat on and on
with her hair so very long
