In Praise of Spring
It's a new day
It's new life
The awakening of love
Songs of peaceful doves
Swirl in the maiden mist
Of Spring's beginning
Singing, ringing, dancing
Romancing each hyacinth spire
Oh the sweet desire
Of nature's birth, our earth sighs
The winter cries for all death is done
And in the warmth of the sun
Butterflies materialize chasing bees
Through the blossoms of tulip trees
Alighting on buttercup faces leaving
Scented traces of euphoria and bliss
A kiss from our creator, the maker,
The potter of our clay, Hallelujah
Let us pray and thank Him for Spring.
