My love, I long to see you

My love, I long to see you
Like I long to see the spring,
My heart will chirp, a happy bird,
Your kiss does make it sing.

My love, I long to hold you,
Like I long to hold the light,
And bring you closer to my face,
Your warmth keeps into night.

My love, I long to breathe you,
Like I long to breathe the scent,
Of lilac blossoms on the porch,
Where we will be content.

lilac blossoms, a great setting for these loving words... (i'm crazy about lilacs - that scent just drives some chemicals in my brain i think lol ;) ) .... love the line: "My love, I long to hold you, Like I long to hold the light, ..." the words trace the contour around the longing and yearning in heart to want to be close to the one who is loved so very much this way... beautiful and playful poem, brought smiles my way... :) *hugs* xx
