Meeting Stefano Virgilly an italian graphic artist, brought me more inspiration. This is a poem that is part of a contest entry, a graphic arts contest!

THE METAMORPHOSIS
Readied to land the next blow,
The winged flare of anger,
Veins of boiling blood.
My head pounds,
The protruded exiled groan,
Brain steaming, melting pod.
Lost dominion,
The plain form, now lost,
Tongue lisping, neck tilting in a nod.
I silence you before you speak,
Grow into a raging metamorphosis,
The smiling shell left behind,
lies on the floor.
