Hill-Lock Lass

Evergreen trees shade of beauty green
Ladybird flicker on flowers and lean
When sunshine rays peep after rain,
And cuckoo sings to relieve pain
Peacock ballet, swinging plumage
Calmly, hillock lass slumbers image
From the vale, cloudlet floats
Spring adorn with kinds of flowers
Fabulous smile, uniform of highland lass
Spreading perfume, she lonely by-pass
Tripping from hillock, high and low
Hearts, she grasps, arrest and lock
Forbids to take breathe, head gently bows
Like rose thorns, hatred quietly she plucks
How charming highland lass?
On Visage varnish sketch of dimples
Like glade sky, glean star twinkles
Her tripping steps like rhyme tickle
Traveller's heart throbs and thrill.
