A Kyrielle

Gone

In verse your virtues I sustain,
your name amidst the stars adorn.
In serenity you remain
while in your absence I do mourn.

Why can not man immortalize?
For I would not lie so forlorn.
The setting sun will still arise
while in your absence I do mourn.

My sobbing heart will not subside.
Death unleashes its hidden scorn.
Future dreams are withered inside,
while in your absence I do mourn.

Once, beauty from lips were spoken,
but now your sweet breath has withdrawn.
The world turns with joy unbroken,
while in your absence I do mourn.

Individuality
a good form this, did one of these the other day as a birthday poem to someone :) mainly i moved into the kyrielle sonnet and haven't done too many of these to date, only 2 :) a sad piece, love and life and joy and sorry - so intertwined in every day we move in. a good poem.
