Revival (Metered Mirror Rhyme)
When blossoms born in Spring are found
the newness of rebirth begins
where infant squeal and chirp resound
mirrored in song as orbit spins.
When sky no longer bears her twins
and scales begin to tip and bend
much warmer smiles turn into grins
as seedlings through the soil transcend.
Held there for eyes to comprehend
nature reveals how life will be.
On renascence one can depend
that each of us shall be set free.

Mirrored in song as orbit spins
where infant squeal and chirp resound,
the newness of rebirth begins
when blossoms born in Spring are found.

The Mirror-Rhyme Form, or Metered Mirror Rhyme
is a poetry-form created by Marion Mantel, which consists of
a series of QUATRAINS,
with the whole poem being REVERSED like in a mirror.
It is preferably written in IAMBIC TETRAMETER
and rhymes abab bcbc cdcd ~ dcdc cbcb baba.
In this way, the first line becomes the same as the last one etc.
The whole art is to create a poem which still makes sense when reversed.
