Fly

Just bugger right off,
You annoying little fly!
Don't buzz in my ear,
Then pester my eye.

Keep away from my lips,
Don't know where you've been,
Maybe knee deep in road-kill,
Or somewhere equally obscene.

If I could, you'd be splattered,
But you keep getting away,
Least I'm consoled by the thought,
You only live for one day!

i know how it does buzz you when the fly bites you, don remind me the other day in the beach when you were fighting them in every possible way and i was laughing at ya. i think it's becoz you are yummy enough; so never mind.

Great write here, friend, I was laughing so hard, almost fell off the chair, I can relate to this poem, well penned. Your words gave me a very good imagery and I could picture the fly, buzzing around your head. ...JC
