a jumble of thoughts

Life's Mystery Play

life lies between the words
naked for those who care
to read through empty spaces
and find their treasures there.

for in this time of now
dwells the portal of our fate
harbors of hope eternal
paths of love or hate

choose well my dear brothers
take heart sweet sisters, mine
all paths lead to somewhere
be it hell or destination Divine

each one makes the mapping
trails from then to now
leaving crumbs of hist'ry's musings
markers of sages' vows

remember to heed lessons
that are taught along the way
grow from root to blossom
beyond this flesh of clay

and in all the tomorrows
dwell the hopes of yesterday
spent or enlivened
by life's mystery play

these words written truly
from thoughts to pen in hand
express ideas rolling
in search of the promise land

Phyllis J. Rhodes
A very important write. Life lessons here that could be and should be taught in families, churches and schools. This is one of those poems that speak loudly of God's hands working through your willingness, your openness to His Spirit, and your exceptional talent. The result is a beautifully written poem with a very important message.
