Vulnerable Heart

If I said I love you,
Would you say it too?
And if I said I need you,
Would you always be true?
For I am but a vessel
Carrying this love inside
Filled to over flowing
Where tenderness abides.
And as my heart is opened,
Will you gently give it care?
Will you heal the pain that dwells
Alone and hurting there?
It is my soul that's pleading,
'Please take my love; it's thine'
It is my spirit's longing
To feel your love as mine.
I hope you will answer
These questions from my heart
Saying that you will love me
And we will never part
For you are who I cherish
Who gives me hope along the way
A light that shines upon me
The one who brightens up my days.

Sometime back some one asked me, what does a woman mean when she says she loves you?
To which I had replied that I had just written a poem to that effect, which tells all... and you know, it starts with,
'when I say I love you:'
Must post it one of these days for you and Cool.
It is such a dilemma! Isn't it? To confess, or not to confess?
To be or not to be?
((((Hugs for the honest write))))
