The Eternal Heartbeat Of Spring
Life aboundsBabies cling close to their mothers
Cubs, kits goslings and whelps
Their eyes see their first light
Warm and yellow
They grow
Exploring their world
Flowers bloom
Pollen drifts on summer breezes
Petals glisten under a rising sun
New buds strain to open
Green growth reaches for a clear sky
The buzz of bees fills the air
They fly from flower to flower
Carrying golden powder
The food of life
Bringing life to fields and farms
Woodlands and meadows
Animals scurry
Hiding
Hunting for food
Squirrels look for nuts
A few left over from a winter's snow
Birds fly by
Flocks of hundreds
Returning from an endless journey
Finding nests torn and ripped
Winter's merciless winds
Warmed by a new sun into a gentle wind
Time is needed to rebuild
To weave the sticks and string
In time for a new family
The sounds and sights of Spring
Continuing through the ages
A new cycle of life
An eternal heartbeat
A beat never ending, never stopping
Rebirth
New life
A new season
