timetables to read

and I dream
holding your hand
reading pictures

me a figure of speach
crayons melting in the sun
empty canvas

we guess our place
behind garden gates
a lilac in its bud

distance and timetables to read
and no matter how hard I search
there is no train revisiting time

Time in tables, tabled time but life flows through time and defies their vertical and horizontal lines, their matrix tricks. This is such a simple, moving, thought provoking poem. Thank you.
