Fun to watch scary horror clips on the computer when it's pitch black, isn't it?

The Spirit Poems

Why do I deny
Why do I defy
We are all so blind
Who knows what we'll find

Horrible deaths, or sordid mistakes
Saddening endings to wonderful lives
But still, in the vulnerable throes of night
The voices, the mists of blanked minds
call out

To you, to you
You deaf being, arise!
I call, and you scream
I come, and you run
I touch, and you turn
I speak, and you-

Hide- I lose sight of my chance
To contact my old world
It was here, it was here!
It was here, but it's gone
It was here but

it fell

It fell from my grasp
To the hell-bound abyss

Kathy Lockhart
this left me with a chill and a thrill in a haunting sort of way. : )
