WHEN LIFE WAS LIVED IN SIMPLE WAYS
Bring me back to those days,
when life was lived in simple ways.
When the air was clean and people cared
about each other without being scared.
I remember the skies I saw in your eyes.
Now all I can see are the lies we despise.
What came between us nobody knows.
Merely the touch of time I suppose.
A wind came blowing and blew me away.
Now I'm lost, where are you, please say?
Unbearable tears, unspeakable fears,
have haunted us through the years.
Don't come closer, I'll strike you down.
You're not welcome in this heartless town.
It's all about fear, and don't shed a tear.
That won't change a thing my dear.
Nowadays we live in a stressful pace.
I will never forget your panic-struck face.
Please bring me back to those days,
when life was lived in simple ways.
