and I miss you

softness and love
I cling to the memory
taking one step at the time

wishing come true
a story I tell
when days hurt

flakes of time
shift and paint yesterday
in a colour remembered

gardens blooming
ice fringed petals
a scent of passion

woven in a yarn we spun
as love stopped by our door
and I miss you still

I find the last two stanzas especially fine: the image of our lives weaving love as flowers by our own hands. A delicate, tender, reflective poem.

Kath this is a tapestry of images and feelings beautifully woven together by the eloquence of your pen.
