a tale of the impossible made possible by love

This Paradise of Promises

The river of time ran between the two worlds
Dividing realities from dreams.
Like waves reaching the shore,
The ebb and flow changed the face of
Of the land. This land where they walked
Hand in hand in the days of what
Could have been, or should have been,
Or perhaps would have been
Had their lives merged long before this time
In this dimension where she, a grandmother,
And he, a grandfather, living in different parts
Of the world by providence found a love that
Was, until now, lost to them.  But as this river
Parted their lives, love built a bridge to the impossible.
From their union, in the between time of lost and found,
A child was born. A beautiful baby created in the likeness
Of these two who, transported across reason and reality
By  their deepest love for one another, made the dreams
Of her hopeful parents come true in the blessed image
Of their daughter, Michele.
And now she lives, wandering in angelic realms,
Lovely in the hearts and minds of her parents.
Though never seen by others in the realm
Of touchable time, she lives amongst the blossoms
Which never bloomed in a place of fantasy and love.
Children of dreams and hopes
Children of the impossible
Children of hearts and prayers
This Paradise of Promises holds the wishes and desires
Of those whose love is so powerful that it transcends the
Concrete into the ethereal.

children carrying love is the way of life to keep love a constant in our world that also holds so much hate in its hands ...

this is a poem I read in may layers ...
I see the love of grandchildren ... I also see the love of a child never carried into this world per sey ... but does live inside the love realm of two lovers ... now and then ... in a place untouchable from hurt ..

a beautiful, beautiful poem

This is incredible! You prove yourself over and over as a poetic genius. This story is told strait to the reader's heart and resides there, never to be forgotten.
