This has been such fun :) It all started with Rob's poem "The Missed Beat" on which I commented and we had a conversation by bay-message concerning the meaning of missed heart beats ... and we ended up writing this poem ...
! - my heart just skipped a beat again
disconcertingly
leaving me
less than lost
possibly bewildered
but certainly concerned
still I wonder
does it really mean
just what I feel
or am I
caught in the maze
searching - not knowing
in vain I seek to find
a name or face
that I might place
on thus to start
at a mere name
on a mere screen
telling of secrets
carried over time
as my heart
skips that beat
does time reverse
are you forever
caught in yesterday
reflected in the beat
of my beckoning heart
