One of my very first works, and it shall always hold such bittersweet feelings. Hope you will enjoy the sentiment.

LoveShine

Morning broke through my window this dawn
But you were not there
My nose felt the chill of the room
But my body was wrapped warm in your remembrance
I pulled the covers over my head
Trying to recapture the closeness of your embrace
The softenss of your shoulder
The stroke of your hand of my face
I closed my eyes and savored the sweet memory of your love
But the sun's piercing bright light roughly nudged me into the new day
And I just folded myself back into an envelope of warmth
Lingered there for some more
I did not want to move
Not wanting to disturb the moment
Only wanted it to be real and longed for your kiss
The heart gave way to sweet peace
And I drifted back into a dream world of passion
But the sunshine refused to give and I was forced to get up
So I laid aside that precious moment and knew I had to rise
Leave the dream behind
Face the world of coldness
And clothe myself in a new hope and walk on the road without you
Wondering if the sun would ever warm me again with love

Mmmm...What a warm ,dreamy, melting, caressing poem... So full of yearning & yet happy and cheerful... Such a sense of delight you preserve in you even in your hour of craving for the beloved...A very fresh approach... Love it!
