I'm almost finished with the application and now I'm trying to figure out who is best to explain what a difference I would make if asked to volunteer.
A Recommendation for the Peace Corps
"I'm lovin' it", the typical slogan,
It greets me in the morning,
It greets me on the road, flying away,
On the end of a McDonalds bag,
I miss the chance,
I miss the opportunity to be,
And with the "Carpe Diem" chant in my head,
A charge will soon begin,
Plans set in order for a time hopefully well spent,
Well earned and well learned,
It must have began when I couldn't touch the sunrise anymore,
When somebody told me "this was it, and expect no more",
The last one who told me that is still spitting out his words,
There is more, if you choose to see,
There is more, if you choose to find,
And there is more, if you choose not to ever give up,
For a long time, we are taught to be rich, not to give,
To be poor so you should beg,
But truth must be told,
The poor can give as much as the rich,
And it is all equal,
Because a presence can equal as much as the greatest gift made,
Where will you be?,
What have you'll ever do?,
If you feared to take the first breath?,
The first step?, the first stand?,
I guess that's what the bags were telling me,
In a freaky, prophesized kind of way,
The wind is life that carries you when and where you need to go,
No matter what the time,
No matter the prizes that you have,
Or leave behind,
The dancer moves without a trace,
