The snow-covered forest and wolf
Another time, another night,
Another picture in my sight -
The starlit night sky and below
The forest, drowning in the snow.
The kingdom of majestic pines,
And their tops pierces a skies.
And from the holes that they makes
Endlessly falls a snowflakes.
They falls and covers all of lands -
The carpet weaved by winter's hands.
The silent beauty in moonlight,
And only wolf howls in the night.
And frozen stars that gild the floor
Of forest where he's waiting for
All his grey brothers that will come
To run with him, to hunt as one.*
But suddenly, there in the dark -
A cries of people and dogs bark.
It is a hunt and you're a prey,
A hunt and you must runs away.
Along snow crust, through snow veil,
Just a prompt shadow with a tail,
Under the moon, between the trees
You run to safe place. But where it is?
You hear behind a rumbling sound.
A blow, and you fall to the ground.
You ran, outstripping a wind, it is true,
But, nevertheless, a bullet overtook you.
Around of your body a people crowd.
They all are cheerful, brisk and proud.
And they each other wants to show:
"Look, it's so beautiful - blood on a snow".
A life, a freedom, nothing more -
It's all things that you has died for.
I truly hope your soul will rise
To the moon, in wolfish paradise.
Another time, another night,
Another picture in my sight -
The starlit night sky and below
The dead wolf, lying on the snow...
*Actually, it's not mine couplet. It was taken out of song of "Cradle of Filth" and half changed...
