a valentine poem i wrote to my wife,Barbra, when she was 17.she was a waitress and I was a cook and we had a "dinger"when orders were up.
i dinged her and she asked "are you dinging me ?

are you dinging me ?

hey, you ! are you dinging me ? because i'd like to ding you too.
and while im there id like to ask how your eyes got so very blue?
it must have been an angel who came from heaven above
who painted them to match the sky then filled them up with love.
for you are truly the most beautiful woman i have ever known.
and I hope that I have touched your heart with this dingy little poem.
will you be my valentine for the rest of my life ?
I mean if were gonna be dinging I should ask you to be my wife.
so will you marry me ,we make dingy pair
i promess your the one for me and for you i'll always be there.
