Sitting along the banks of the Ohio River, enjoying the view at dusk, left me with these words...

In These Quiet Moments

Like stars on crystal waters
A captured setting sun
Dancing pieces of Heaven
Glisten at dusk, begun
In these quiet moments
I gather a plethora of thoughts
What I have in blessings
And what my choices have wrought
The beauty of the river
Soothes me with its flow
Like petals in soft breezes
I am adrift as peace unfolds
Though I sit alone here
I am not lonely at all
For I can feel your heart beating
Inside my heart's walls
There is something about the river
And something about you, dear
That bring the same soft feelings
These feelings that calm my fears
So in this time of wonder
I am called to write these lines
For truly this inspiration
Brings me such peace of mind
Now as I watch the setting
Of the day o'er yonder hills
I am in solitude dreaming
Of your touch and how it feels
Much like the stars on water
Are the reflection of Heaven's bliss
I am the soul of contentment
Because of sweet Love's kiss

My dear Kathy,
How the percetion of things changes with your inner landscape!
The same land scape evokes tender feelings in you, when you're happy; while, when you are gloomy, the same river flows slowly, sadly- just like your thoughts.
May you remain happy like this and enjoy the much deserved love and happiness!
(((Hugs dear friend)))
Love, Zoya

I can actually visualize the river... the calmness spreading around...
Feeling the loved one near even though the actual distance is far...
Such a beautiful text, Kathy.

Majestic, beautiful, glittering, soft and strong: the poem, as well as the river.

DEAR KATHY

FROM THE DAY I CAME TO THIS SITE I'VE SAID ONE THING, YOU ARE A TRUE MASTER AT WHAT YOU DO..

YOU ARE TRULY A PHENOM WHEN IT COMES TO THIS.
YOU GRAB THE READER, SOMETIMES HAIR STANDS UP, SOMETIMES THE HEART WARMS, SOMETIMES A SMILES CROSSES YOUR FACE WITHOUT YOU NOTICING, BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS YOUR DIVERSITY AND ABILITY TO WRITE ARE ONCE NOTICE TO BE IN AWE OF...

U R A TRUE POET

MS. LOCKHART

IT IS TRULY AN HONOR TO SHARE BAY SPACE WITH A TALENT SUCH AS YOURS...

A painting by Renoir might do justice to these words. Note I said might, because this is such a beautiful piece I am not sure a that a picture that paints a thousand words could do it justice. It touches every sense. I can see the beauty, I can feel the water and sand and pebbles with my toes on the bank, I can smell the uniqueness of river water on the breeze, I can hear the birds, and the water lapping against the shore, I can smell and taste some honeysuckle, sweetgrass and clover that often grows in the flora of a river bank. This is a vacation from all that is negative. It is wonderful and awesome.

Is there anything you cant take and turn into words of beauty and wisdom. This is gret Kathy, expect a poem response to this one. By the way before I forget, this was very well written and I loved its flow. Great Job Kathy : )
